What can I expect?

We will play in my small, cozy studio, where creative energy spins and fills your soul. We will be transported to another World and forget about everyday reality. I can promise messy hands, fun company and some drinks and snacks.

What’s the catch?

In order to sign up for ANY of my workshops, you will have to promise to leave all judgment and intimidation about the finished work behind you. You can leave it at home, lock it in the car on a parking lot, or the best idea is to get rid of it forever, once and for all and be FREE! What is important is the process of creating, and if followed, I can assure you, you will feel happy and satisfied with yourself, after we are finished.

How do I sign up?

You can stop by my studio during Open Studio Events, or go to "contact" and send me an e-mail. Write down what workshop you are interested in and the phone # I can reach you at. I will contact you as soon as I can, to answer your questions and provide you with information how to sign up and pay.

Note: All workshops: min 2 and max 4 participants. I am looking forward to play with you.

“GOOD BOX” dates TBD

$30 + supply fee (10$-25$ depends of the box you choose)

We will make a “Good Box” or as some called it “God Box”, “Wish Box”, or however you like it. The name doesn’t matter-intention and purpose does.

We will start with an already primed wood box, and then paint it and decoupage it.

Supplies for decoupage will be provided, but if you wish, you can bring with you old pictures, cut outs from magazines, scrap paper, old gift wrap, or whatever has a meaning and beauty FOR YOU, to include on your box.

You will go home (hopefully) with a finished box that you can start using immediately. If you decide you need to continue working on the box at home, to make it even better, with more details, I will make sure to advise you on how to finish it. There is only so much we can do in 3 hours.

"BASIC COLLAGE" dates TBD

$40 (all supplies included)

In order to create collage in this time slot, I will have backgrounds already created for you. You will be able to choose two different ones (yes, we will attempt to make two). Then we will start cutting out pictures from different magazines and create collages with those cutouts. I will have some other scrap paper and ephemera for you to use. If you have something at home you think you might want to use, please feel free to bring it (magazines you like, postcards, pictures, or stamps).

You will go home with two collages and verbal instructions how to continue building your collage with a pen work. I will prepare for you a list of my favorite supplies for that part.

"COLLAGE" - 3 PART dates TBD

3 x 2.5 hr workshop over 3 weeks period @ Aurora Studios

$95 (all supplies included)

For this amazing workshop we will meet 3 times, over the period of 3 consecutive weeks, and learn how to make a collage from start to finish. We will make 3-4 different backgrounds, but possibly finish 1-2 collages at the end.

Week 1: by using different media, we will learn how to make different backgrounds: we will paint with acrylics, use stencils and cover pages with napkins. You will go home with fun homework to do and to bring for next class.

Week 2: It is collage time!! We cut out pictures from different magazines and create collage on background pages you have made the previous time. I will have some other scrap paper and ephemera for you to use. If you have something at home you think you might want to use, please feel free to bring it (magazines you like, postcards, pictures, or stamps).You will learn how to use tape runner and mat medium and probably at this point decide which one you like better.

Week 3: We will finish (hopefully) our collage pieces with different pens. At this stage, everybody will have a personal preference how much is needed to finish the work, so don’t feel surprised if at the end of the class you feel you want to continue forever.

I will also prepare for you the list of all supplies we have used and more, as a guideline if you decide it is time for you to get your own supplies and walk in to a magical World of Collage that may lead to Art Journaling.

“VISION BOARD #1”dates TBD

It is very possible that the best time to create a Vision Board is end of an old year, or begining of a new, when one starts thinking and planning the next one. So, now is the time to decide what we want the next year to look like for us. What are our goals, our wishes, and our hopes? Where do we want to go? Who do we want to meet? What do we want our body to look like?

Thought is energy, and energy is a creative force. By intentionally organizing your thoughts into words, sentences, or pictures- you will create your future. Vision board is a powerful tool to help you organize it all in one place, creatively. To be reminded of your intentions every day, you will place your Vision Board on a prominent place at your home (or wherever it will make biggest impact on you). It will continuously attract your attention, and with your attitude of belief, it will follow simple law: “where attention goes, energy flows”, and boom, your future will be created the way YOU, yes YOU, want. You will see one thing after another develop and manifest in your life.

Supplies will be provided, but it will be most helpful if you bring cutouts from magazines (for example pictures of places you want to visit; dream house; car; and so on), your own picture you really like, or printed words of affirmation. Clue: you will “grow” your wishes from the drawing of a tree. Expect to go home with a meaningful piece filled with YOUR intentions and future plans.

Supplies will be provided, but you do need to bring one thing: a picture of yourself, your face, printed on 8x11 paper. Color or b&w, thickness or finish of the paper... all that is your choice. The only thing I request is that you really, I mean really LOVE this picture. Start getting busy by taking selfies until there is one you absolutely adore, and then just print it. Also, as you read or remember any words and sentences that are meaningful to you, jot them down, on a paper or in your phone and bring it with you, or bring cut-outs from magazines. I will also have plenty you can choose. You will go home with a meaningful piece filled with YOUR intentions and future plans.
